Krogerus advised a consortium of Finnish energy companies on the acquisition of Statkraft’s EUR 239 million hydropower assets in Finland. The consortium consists of Vantaan Energia, Turku Energia, Oulun Energia, Pori Energia and Oulun Seudun Sähkö.
The plants acquired were the Koivukoski, Kolsi and Korkeakoski hydropower plants and a minority share in the Harjavalta hydropower plant.
Partner Ville Hailikari and counsel Jan Johanson led the Krogerus team. Partner Kimmo Mettälä and senior associate Thomas Kolster advised on banking and finance issues and partner Leena Lindberg and counsel Mikko Pirttilä on competition law matters.
