Krogerus advises Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners on its entry into a partnership with Myrsky Energia
Krogerus advised Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), the world’s largest dedicated fund manager within greenfield renewable energy investments, on its entry into a partnership with a Finnish developer Myrsky Energia to develop more than 1.8 GW of new onshore wind power in Finland. This amount represents around one third of the current wind power capacity in Finland.
The transaction was CIP's first investment in onshore wind power in the Nordic countries. The transaction puts Finland on track to become a European leader in the energy transition and will make a material contribution towards Finland’s 2035 carbon neutrality target. The portfolio of wind projects will also improve Finland's energy security and strengthen local economies through job creation and additional tax revenues.
The Krogerus team, led by Partner Ville Hailikari includes Partner Sami Laine, Counsel Essi Launonen and Associates Janne Helaskoski, Linda Härkönen, Ulla Jaatinen, Saara Kinnunen and Silja Piironen (Energy), Partners Samu Lassila and Antti Lehtimaja and Associate Jemiina Pohja (Tax), Partner Heidi Kivenjuuri, Senior Associate Kaarlo Hakkarainen and Associates Elina Terho and Valtteri Ylä-Rautio (Banking & Finance), Partner Carola Möller and Associate Jenna Hallikainen (Employment & Benefits), Partner Marko Vuori and Associates Markus Laine and Kalle Lipsanen (Corporate), Senior Associate Minna Siekkinen and Associate Oskar Kaskela (Competition & Regulatory) and Partner Thomas Kolster (Dispute Resolution).
