Krogerus advises DB Schenker in competition law matters on its acquisition of Vähälä Logistics Oy

Krogerus advised DB Schenker, part of multinational transport and logistics group Deutsche Bahn on its acquisition of Vähälä Logistics Oy, a Finnish family-owned transport and logistics company founded in 1937. Krogerus represented both Deutsche Bahn AG and DB Schenker in connection with the competition law matters including merger filing at the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority.

On July 27 2021, DB Schenker announced an agreement to acquire Vähälä Logistics Oy, focused on offering domestic land transport services in central and northern Finland. The acquisition will secure DB Schenker as one of the leading transport companies in Finland and globally. The parties have closed the deal on 14 October 2021.
