Krogerus advises Helen and Ålandsbanken on their acquisition of a 145 MW wind farm development project in Pieksämäki

Krogerus advised Helen and Ålandsbanken on their joint acquisition of a 145 MW Niinimäki wind farm development project in Pieksämäki from OX2, one of Europe's leading developers of renewable energy sources. The wind farm will consist of 22 wind turbines, and upon completion it will be the largest wind farm in Eastern Finland.

OX2 is responsible for the construction and the technical and financial administration of the wind farm. The annual energy production of the new wind farm corresponds to the annual electricity consumption of more than 80,000 households. The Niinimäki wind farm is scheduled for completion at the end of 2024.

The Krogerus team was led by Partner Sami Laine and he was primarily assisted by Partner Ville Hailikari, Counsel Essi Launonen and Associates Janne Helaskoski, Ulla Jaatinen, Silja Piironen, Kalle Lipsanen, Markus Laine and Peter Partanen.
