Krogerus advises HKScan on its EUR 180 million sale of Saturn Nordic Holding AB
Krogerus advised HKScan Corporation in an agreement to sell HKScan’s 50% stake in Saturn Nordic Holding AB to Danish Crown A/S, the other owner of Saturn Nordic Holding. The transaction value is EUR 180 million.
Saturn Nordic Holding owns 100% of the shares in Sokołów S.A., a meat company in Poland.
HKScan is a leading Nordic meat company whose shares are publicly traded on NASDAQ OMX Helsinki. In 2013, HKScan had net sales of EUR 2.5 billion and some 11,000 employees.
The Krogerus team, led by partner Mika Ståhlberg, included senior associate Leif Laitinen. Partner Mårten Knuts advised on securities law issues and partner Leena Lindberg on competition law.
