Krogerus advises Ilmatar Energy on its acquisition of two onshore wind projects

Krogerus advised Ilmatar Energy on its acquisition of two large-scale onshore wind projects from a German wind power developer Alterric Internationale Beteiligunge GmbH. Thirty wind turbines with a combined capacity of approximately 200 MW will be constructed at Pahkakoski in Ii and five wind turbines with a combined capacity of approximately 30 MW at Jäkäläkangas in Karvia. Together the projects will have substantial implications for the regional economy as well as for the green transition and Finland's carbon neutrality goals, producing almost 1% of Finland's annual electricity consumption.

Jäkäläkangas project is already under construction and expected to be completed during Q4/2023. Pahkakoski project is fully permitted and is currently being prepared for final investment decision.

The transaction supports the strategies of both companies where Ilmatar Energy is focusing on the Nordic renewable energy market and Alterric on the Central Europe market.
