Krogerus advises Ilmatar Energy on the energy storage facility project at the Piiparinmäki wind farm
Krogerus advised Ilmatar Energy on the investment project regarding a 30 MW energy storage facility to support renewable energy production at the Piiparinmäki wind farm. The energy storage facility will be owned by a UK-based investment company Glennmont Partners and operated by Ilmatar.
The capacity of the battery unit supports the power production of the Piiparinmäki wind farm that consists of 41 modern wind turbine generators with an aggregate capacity of approximately 211 MW. The energy storage will be Ilmatar's second hybrid solution and it helps in managing fluctuations in the wind power production and optimization of the wind farm utilization.
The Krogerus team was led by Partner Sami Laine and he was primarily assisted by Partner Ville Hailikari and Associates Silja Piironen and Kalle Lipsanen.
