Krogerus advises Prysmian Group Finland Oy on Prysmian Group’s cable tower construction project

Krogerus advised Prysmian Group Finland Oy, a leader in the energy and telecom cable systems industry, on Prysmian Group’s cable tower construction project in Kirkkonummi. The building, estimated to be completed during summer 2025, will become a production facility of high-voltage submarine cables and, at 185 metres, the tallest building in Finland. Krogerus advised on various aspects of the project, including tendering, building permit procedures as well as the negotiation and preparation of the construction contract.

The building will be constructed as an alliance project between Prysmian Group Finland Oy and YIT. With the investment, Prysmian Group is responding to the energy transition as well as the demand for land and submarine power cables. High-voltage submarine cables are needed in the power transmission of investments enabling green transition, such as offshore wind farms.
