Krogerus advises RELEX Solutions on its landmark EUR 500 million investment round

Krogerus as the lead counsel advised Retails Logistics Excellence - RELEX Oy, a Finland-based software company that automates and optimizes supply chain, merchandising, and operational decisions for retailers and consumer packaged goods companies, in connection with an investment round of EUR 500 million led by funds managed by Blackstone Growth (BXG), Blackstone's growth equity investing business, making it the largest ever growth equity investment in a Finnish company to date.

The investment comprises both a secondary share sale and a primary investment, which enables Relex to continue to implement its strategy and pursue continued growth by hiring hundreds of developers and experts to grow its technical team that already stands at over 400 people strong.

This new transaction marks Relex's third financing round, taking the total amount of financing Relex has raised to over EUR 700 million.

The Krogerus team was led by Partner Mika Ståhlberg and he was mainly assisted by Senior Associate Antti Luhtala and Associates Andreas Brink, Nora Hamed and Ari Natunen. Partner Samu Lassila advised on the tax aspects of the investment and he was primarily assisted by Senior Associate Vilma Piipponen.
