Krogerus advises Valmet on a global IT outsourcing arrangement with CGI

Krogerus advised Valmet, a global developer and supplier of process technologies, automation and services for the pulp, paper and energy industries, in a global IT outsourcing arrangement with CGI, a global provider of IT and business process services. The agreement covers all of Valmet’s sites in over 30 countries and around 60 IT experts from Valmet will transfer to CGI.

Under the agreement Valmet's internal IT service desk, end user support and most infrastructure services, including server management, workstation management and end user computing, will be moved from Valmet and their current partners to CGI. The transfer is targeted to become effective on October 1 and the full transfer project is to be closed by the end of March 2018.

The Krogerus team was led by partner Mika Puittinen. He was mainly assisted by senior associate Kalle Hynönen, associate Jussi Latola and associate Kristian Lauslahti.
