Krogerus Data Symposium 2024
Krogerus Data Symposium, one of Finland's largest events focusing on data and AI regulation and utilisation, was held on Wednesday, 23 October 2024 at Bio Rex Lasipalatsi in Helsinki. The event brought together hundreds of experts and professionals in the field and was organised in partnership with the Technology Industries of Finland
The EU's comprehensive data and AI regulatory package is about to become operational. The Data Act is already in force, and the AI Act has been finally approved. In the coming years, these regulations will profoundly impact how companies and communities utilise the data they generate, how data usage agreements are formed, and the application of AI.
The Data Symposium's programme highlighted some of the more practical challenges that the Data Act and the AI Act will present to companies' operations. In particular, we discussed the contractual, intellectual property and competition law implications of the new regulations.
Thank you to all our fantastic guest speakers and event attendees!
